Tube Formation

Betts Group uses machinery made by AISA of Switzerland for tube manufacture in all of its units. This consistency of approach allows us to offer the highest level of flexibility and security to our customers.  In Betts Poland we also operate KMK machinery from PSG of Switzerland for specific Personal Care products, and to ensure we have the right technology for every application our customers may need.  All our tube-making equipment is designed to have the highest levels of process reliability and control.

Our tube making equipment is amongst the fastest and most efficient in the world with outputs from ranging from 80 to 300 tubes per minute to match customer requirements.

All our units produce tubes using Aluminium Barrier Laminate ("ABL") substrates and in addition some sites produce Plastic Barrier Laminate ("PBL") structures.

ABL tubes have the highest possible oxygen barrier properties, whilst PBL tubes (which employ ethylene-vinyl alcohol polyethelene copolymer ("EVOH") as the barrier layer) also have excellent barrier properties combined with improved recyclability and dent-resistant properties which are generally favoured for stand-up/cartonless tubes.
